ObjectID Storage Service Addendum
Effective Date: 11 May 2026
This ObjectID Storage Service Addendum (the “Storage Addendum”) supplements the ObjectID General Terms and Conditions and applies to access to, and use of, the ObjectID Storage service available through storage.objectid.io and any related ObjectID storage workflows.
ObjectID Storage is provided by SDV Consulting SRLS, via della Conciliazione 13, 20862 Arcore (MB) – Italy (VAT IT13168650961). By using ObjectID Storage, the User accepts this Storage Addendum, the ObjectID Terms and Conditions, and, where the storage workflow relies on IOTA Distributed Oracle tasks, the IOTA Distributed Oracle End User License Agreement / Terms of Use.
1. Relationship with the IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA
ObjectID Storage relies on the IOTA Distributed Oracle system for decentralized task execution, including IPFS-oriented storage, pinning, verification, retention, renewal, or related oracle tasks. The IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA states that the oracle system is provided as a decentralized task-execution and coordination framework connected to the IOTA network, and that task execution is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
The User acknowledges that participating oracle nodes are independent actors in a decentralized environment and do not assume a direct contractual service-provider obligation toward the User for successful completion of any specific storage task. The User also acknowledges that task execution may fail, return incomplete or inconsistent results, or not achieve the User’s intended outcome due to data source unavailability, network issues, node-specific conditions, third-party failures, protocol behavior, configuration errors, or other circumstances outside ObjectID’s direct control.
The current IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA is available at https://iota-distributed-oracle.org/eula. The source document is also published at the public repository.
2. Description of the Storage Service
ObjectID Storage enables Users to upload files for IPFS-oriented storage workflows. The service may generate or record metadata such as file name, file size, MIME type, SHA-256 hash, IPFS CID, storage task identifiers, retention parameters, renewal information, and ObjectID-related references.
Storage tasks may be submitted to the IOTA Distributed Oracle so that eligible nodes can fetch, verify, pin, repin, or otherwise process content according to the configured task parameters. Storage availability is based on IPFS addressing, oracle-node execution, node rotation, retention settings, gateway availability, and other decentralized infrastructure components.
3. User Responsibility for Files and Task Configuration
The User is solely responsible for the files, data, metadata, credentials, URLs, permissions, task parameters, retention settings, renewal choices, and any other information submitted through ObjectID Storage. The User must ensure that all uploaded or referenced content is lawful, accurate, technically accessible, and suitable for the intended storage workflow.
The User must not upload, reference, or request storage for content that is unlawful, malicious, infringing, harmful, confidential without authorization, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law, the ObjectID Terms and Conditions, or the IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA.
4. Retention, Availability, and No Guaranteed Persistence
ObjectID Storage may use retention periods, repeated pinning checks, task renewals, and node rotation to improve resilience. However, IPFS availability, gateway access, node execution, network conditions, and third-party infrastructure are not fully controlled by SDV Consulting SRLS.
Unless expressly agreed in a separate written SLA, ObjectID Storage does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent preservation, successful pinning, successful repinning, successful renewal, a specific number of active providers at all times, or recovery of any file after expiration, failed renewal, user error, unlawful content removal, infrastructure failure, or force-majeure event.
5. Integrity and Verification
ObjectID Storage may use deterministic hashes, IPFS CIDs, and oracle task results to support integrity checks. These mechanisms help detect changes in content, but they do not by themselves guarantee legal validity, evidentiary sufficiency, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for any specific purpose.
6. Fees, Credits, and Non-Refundability
Storage operations may require credits, fees, or other service units. Costs associated with task submission, attempted execution, coordination, resource allocation, storage, retention, or renewal are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires otherwise or where SDV Consulting SRLS expressly agrees in writing.
This reflects the IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA principle that task-related costs may be incurred upon acceptance, scheduling, attempted execution, coordination, and resource allocation regardless of final outcome.
7. Data Protection and Confidentiality
The User is solely responsible for assessing whether uploaded or referenced content contains personal data, confidential information, trade secrets, regulated data, or third-party rights. No personal data should be uploaded or referenced unless strictly necessary and lawfully processed under applicable data protection law, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Because IPFS and decentralized oracle workflows may involve independent nodes, public identifiers, content addressing, gateways, and distributed infrastructure, the User must not treat ObjectID Storage as a private encrypted backup service unless a separate written agreement and appropriate technical controls expressly provide for that use case.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SDV Consulting SRLS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of opportunity, or costs of substitute services, arising from or related to the use or inability to use ObjectID Storage.
For storage workflows relying on the IOTA Distributed Oracle, the User acknowledges the limitations of liability, force majeure, prohibited-use rules, and decentralized-infrastructure disclaimers contained in the IOTA Distributed Oracle EULA.
9. Suspension, Removal, and Expiration
SDV Consulting SRLS may suspend access to ObjectID Storage, reject tasks, disable renewals, remove access to unlawful or prohibited content, or take other reasonable measures where necessary to protect users, infrastructure, participating nodes, third parties, or legal compliance.
After a retention period expires, a renewal fails, credits are insufficient, or the User disables renewal, the related file may become unavailable from one or more IPFS nodes or gateways.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Storage Addendum is governed by the laws of Italy. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, disputes relating to this Storage Addendum shall be subject to the competent courts identified in the ObjectID Terms and Conditions.
